THREE GREAT RIDES

We've restructured our event this year to provide a new look for experienced riders looking for a challenge, and we've also brought back our short-distance route for new riders.

We also encourage you to check out our sister event, the Tour de Danish! (Click here for more info.)

The Hungry Buzzard Century (Approximate route map here; routes subject to revision)

98 miles and 8200' of climbing.  Depart between 6:30 - 8:00 am.

This is a challenging century with great scenery!  The ride starts in Woodlake, and provides a few miles of flat riding to warm up for the first challenge of the day: Dry Creek Road.  The route then climbs up to Pinehurst, continues to Dunlap, and then to Badger before the descent to Woodlake.  The ride map will include an alternate 90 mile route that eliminates the flat road back to Woodlake, for those who are looking for a great ride that doesn't quite measure up to a full century.  Five rest stops.

The Mountain House Metric Century (Approximate route map here; routes subject to revision)

63 miles and 5200' of climbing.  Depart between 7:00 - 8:00 am.

This is a challenging metric with great scenery!  The ride starts in Woodlake, and includes the same climb up Dry Creek to Pinehurst that the century riders take on, but gets to the long, sweeping descent more quickly.  Three rest stops.

The Venice Hills 20 (Approximate route map here; routes subject to revision)

20 miles and 450' of climbing.  Depart between 9:00 - 10:00 am.  To ensure that SAG and rest stop support is available, riders will not be allowed to depart prior to 9:00 am.

This is a great ride for new riders, or for folks who are looking for an easy ride through the orchards and rolling hills to the east of Woodlake.  One rest stop.

Proceeds support schools and students in the Visalia and Tulare County area.

Registration includes the ride, rest stops, SAG, post-ride meal, and (with early registration only) an official Hungry Buzzard t-shirt.

HELMETS REQUIRED

2 WATER BOTTLES RECOMMENDED

A post-ride meal is included in your registration fee!
